Lights, camera…love? (Includes The Reality Bride's Baby short story)

Cowboy Tyler Hall never thought he’d be a contestant on a reality dating TV show, but after his latest breakup, he decides to audition. At best, he finds the woman of his dreams. At worst, he spends some time away from his ranch and meets some new people. But what he hadn't bargained on was falling for the one woman he can't have.

Laney Swann has been trying to re-invent herself for years. But now, as a fabulous makeup artist, she can use her talents on the hot new reality show in town. What she doesn’t expect from her new job is to get hit by a thunderbolt of desire when she sees Tyler for the first time. Laney is tripped up when she sees Tyler for the first time. Handsome, rugged, and the perfect gentleman, she realizes she needs to become a contestant herself to have a chance with him. But there are rules – she's an employee, he's the talent. It could never work. Right?

When Tyler attempts to prove to Laney he's all in, she's not sure she can believe him. He's getting paid to fall in love, after all. Laney has to decide to open up her heart, and possibly get it broken, or give up on Tyler completely.

But this cowboy isn't going down without a fight…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this story. It was so easy to read, because the story seemed to flow so effortlessly. I loved all of the characters involved. They were very likable and believable, people who are very easy to relate to. The fact that this was a clean story, made it all that much more enjoyable, too. It was also very funny at times, which had me chuckling since it reminded me of myself, and those awkward teenage years. Although, she was far from being a teenager, but still.... it made her more relatable to me... I liked Tyler a lot. He was a man of deep religious beliefs, and he had a good set of morales of his own, too. His friends Nancy & Aaron were the kind of friends anyone would love to have as friends.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

The Cowboy’s Reality Bride, written by Lorana Hoopes, is the first book in The Blushing Bride Series. The story is a cute, comical look at reality TV. The main characters, Tyler and Laney, don’t watch reality TV and are unaware of all the things that go into making a television show. Some would say that Tyler and Laney were naïve and their expectations totally unrealistic. I found The Cowboy’s Reality Bride very enjoyable. I liked how the author spun the story. The plotline is realistic and seems similar to most of today’s reality dating shows. The book is clean with no explicit language or sexual content. Also, the book is an easy read; only about 150 pages, and can be read in one evening. As with all of Ms. Hoopes books, there is a HEA ending.

Lorana Hoopes has become one of my favorite Christian authors because of the sweet, clean and interesting stories she writes. The Cowboys Reality Bride was no exception. I don't usually watch reality shows but from what I've seen this book describes a lot of the situations well. What I especially liked is the way both Tyler and Laney were true to their faith. They turned to God in prayer whenever they each had a problem or decision to make. If you like romance, with a little suspense, and a happy ending this book is for you. And be sure to get the Epilogue for "The Rest of the Story".

I was given an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, which I've gladly given.
